Welcome to MyStories! We are thrilled to help you capture and preserve your life stories. To begin your storytelling journey, follow these steps:
1. Locate your invitation
Look for an email with the subject line "A Gift for You: MyStories." This email contains a unique activation link sent by your friend or family member.
Important:
If you can’t find the email, make sure to check and search for the email subject ‘MyStories’ in your spam and any additional folders (e.g. promotions, forums, etc.)
Make sure to add stories@mystories.com and questions@stories1.mystories.com to your list of safe contacts so your email prompts don’t get lost in your spam folder.
Accept the terms and conditions.
2. Activate when you are ready
Click the "Activate My Gift" button inside the email.
Note on Timing:
Your one-year membership does not start when you receive the gift email. The 365-day clock only begins the moment you click to activate your account. If you aren't ready to start writing just yet, you can save that email and activate it weeks or even months later.
3. Create your account
After clicking activate, you will be prompted to set up your password and profile.
4. Set your preferences
You can choose which day of the week you'd like to receive your story prompts.
5. Begin writing
Once your account is set up, you’ll receive your first question. You can reply directly to the email or log in to the MyStories website to type your response.

In case you did not receive the gift email, please check with the purchaser if they added the correct email address for the gift. If there is an error in the email, the purchaser can change your email address on their account, and you will receive the gift email to the correct email.
