Yes, you have full control over which questions are included in your book.
Each week, MyStories sends you a thoughtful question by email, covering memories, milestones, and reflections. You can answer as many as you like, in any order, and skip the rest. Only the questions you respond to will appear in your printed book.
Managing your questions
You can manage your questions anytime from your dashboard.
All 52 questions that were automatically selected appear under 'My stories'. You can filter the questions to view only the ones that haven’t been answered yet by clicking 'Not started', or to see only the ones that have already been answered by clicking 'Completed':
Click 'Add questions' to browse and select prompts from the curated list of over 400 questions
Click 'Add your own question' to create a custom one (marked in red in the screenshot)
Add as many questions as you like — when you're done, click 'Done' (marked in green)
Rearrange the order of your book by dragging questions using the handle icon.
To edit or delete an unanswered question, click the three-dot menu next to it.
You can answer questions in any order, at your own pace. To leave a question out of the book, simply don’t answer it.
Editing or adding more to your answers:
If you want to add more or edit a question you've already answered:
> Reply to the same email again — all replies are grouped into one story.
> Or, log in to mystories.com and edit the story directly from your dashboard:
Go to the 'Completed' tab on your dashboard.
Click 'Edit story' to make changes.
Alternatively, you can also start a blank story:
If you want to create a blank story, click 'Start a blank story' on your dashboard:

Can I control how often questions are sent?
Storytellers can choose how often they receive MyStories emails (the default is once a week), or turn them off completely. This setting is only available to the storyteller, not to someone who purchased MyStories as a gift for them
What if I miss a question?
No problem! You can always go back and answer it later:
> Find the original email and reply when ready.
> Alternatively, log in to your dashboard to access and answer any pending question.
